Sound Sketches offers a glimpse of live music in Hong Kong, drifting betweenintimate jam sessions to crowded music festivals. Stifled under shared stresses independent music scene experienced since 2020, the city’s creative andrelaxed COVID-19 restrictions. During revitalisation in the summer of 2021, with a brief respite from the pandemic and this window, I attended performances in different pockets of the city and was introduced to a fresh mix of musicians and creative spaces.
